In Loving Memory of John Lombaerde

On Tuesday June 28th, my mom’s and my world changed forever due to the unexpected death of my dad, John Lombaerde. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and son. My dad was hard working, strong-minded, selfless, joyful, and most of all, loved and cared deeply for his family and friends. If you ever interacted with my dad, I’m sure you heard one of his infamous “dad jokes” (most likely more than one). It’s impossible to think that I won’t have him to turn to, but I’m grateful for the time I had with him. My mom and I will miss him terribly. 

Some of you have reached out and asked how you can help us during this time. Know that your kindness is much appreciated as we navigate this heartbreaking moment. Unfortunately, we’re quickly realizing the financial burdens that come with a loss. We would be grateful for any assistance to help cover the cost of medical expenses and to help pick up the pieces for myself and my mom. If Venmo is easier, my handle is @mlombaerde.
