Joseph Iavarone was a 1988 graduate of St. Thomas the Apostle and a 1992 graduate of Garnet Valley High School. He was a beloved Garnet Valley Middle School PE teacher and football coach in the district.
Garnet Valley is a close knit community and is coming together, as we always do, during tough times to help one of our own. We lost one of the friendliest and kindest teachers, father, son, coach, co-worker, and mostly, a friend to all. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Iavarone family, his two children and the many students he has taught over the years at Garnet Valley Middle School.
The funds raised here will be used to cover various expenses including the needs of his children and his funeral.
