With a heavy heart, we share the passing of my mother, Joan Notah. Honestly, there are no words to describe how missed she will be. But her loving spirit & teachings live on through her husband, Emerson, and their three children- Loretta, Christopher & Charles. It’s such an understatement, but she was a strong, beautiful, and caring mother. Everyone that knew her loved her and could easily see how infinite her kindness was.

She was very dedicated to her work in minority business development for over 15 years. Many knew her as the go-to, if she didn’t know the answer you can surely trust she would find the answer for you. Unfortunately, she fell ill after her last work conference, the NCAIED Reservation Economic Summit in Las Vegas, NV. For over six weeks, she fought endlessly until she passed peacefully early Friday morning, on May 8th. She was surrounded by her loved ones and was never alone through this fight.

She will be laid to rest in her hometown on the Navajo Reservation in Kinlichee, AZ on May 16th.
