In Loving memory of Jill A Bonga "Aunty Jill"

It is with a very sad and heavy heart that I have to share with you that my mom Jill Bonga has passed away. On May 6th 2024 My mom called in sick to work, she then stayed home the following day and wendsday. She returned to work on Thursday although still not feeling well. On Friday she did not show up for work. As you all know the following Sunday was Mother's day so I sent her the usual early (for her were 3 hours difference) happy mother's day text that would be followed up by a call once the text was acknowledged. the text was never answered. I began to worry so I got in touch with some close family and asked if they had heard from her. The response was no. At this point we're worried. We decide maybe she just lost her phone so we'll call the school that she works at in the morning. I call shortly after her clock in time and the woman who answered said she's late and hasn't called which is very not like her. Our family as a whole decides to ask the Hilo police department if they can do a welfare check to see if she's ok. That's when they broke the news and our hearts. My loving mother had passed away in her home. This is a very hard time for us as you may already know, we're asking that if you can find it in the kindness of your heart to please donate. All of her affairs will be sorted out on her home island of Hawaii and me being off island we will incur alot expences along the way. Work will also be missed so help for that for the family is greatly appreciated as well. My mom loved each and every one of you. Thank you for making her life better by being a part of her life.
