Celebrate The Life of Jhames Darwin S. Fajardo

Donation protected
On Saturday, September 21st, God called a beautiful soul home—our sweet Jhames… my youngest little brother. His last 6 months of life were spent in 4 hospitals in both Hawaii and California. Three months after the diagnosis of a very rare condition (2 in a million) called idiopathic severe aplastic anemia, he had his 8th birthday in his Star Wars decked out hospital room. The highlight for him was receiving permission from his older brother, Jeydin, to slap a plateful of whip cream on his face. He had always wanted a chance to do that one day! The excitement in Jhames’ face and the joyous laughter that broke out after Jeydin’s face was covered in whip cream was just all too precious! Heartbreakingly, in only three months later, Jhames took his last breath held in our mommy’s arms and surrounded by the rest of the family. He fought a good fight and had been exceptionally courageous and faithful throughout. Our faith had not wavered for a miraculous healing all the way to his last breath… but, the Lord had a different plan.

Although it’s been several weeks since his passing, it has still been difficult to process what’s happened let alone plan Jhames’ funeral. Our family grieves heavily, but despite the heartbreak and deep sorrow, we continue to choose to praise Jesus’ name. We have seen firsthand how faithful He is to those who fully trust in Him. His goodness has been evident in so many aspects of the journey.

Thank you to the many of you who have supported our family through messages, prayers, food deliveries, gifts for Jhames and donations. We are forever grateful because no matter how small the gesture, you have all impacted our lives in such a meaningful and large way. Because of your generosity, my dad and Jeydin were able to fly out to California right away when Jhames was admitted to the PICU and intubated. You relieved my parents of the heavy burden of finding a way to pay their monthly rent while only my dad could work throughout the hospitalization. Their rent was covered all the way through October this year. You all did that for them, and they are very grateful for all of you.

As we navigated through his funeral arrangements, it became clear that what’s most important to us is to celebrate and honor the precious gift of the 8 beautiful years that Jhames blessed our lives with. Our family would like to wholeheartedly invite you to Jhames’ Celebration of Life. Our family is also extending the invitation to anyone who has been impacted in one way or another by Jhames’ journey. If you’d like to attend, but are unable to make it physically, an online live stream of the service will be available. The link will be provided closer to the day of.

By now, you’re probably wondering what this GoFundMe page is for. Please know that our family is very appreciative and grateful for all the much-needed donations you’ve given while Jhames was in the hospital. We are not asking for more. I created this page because there have already been multiple requests for a way one can give monetary gifts or donations for the funeral. This platform has provided an easy way to give so we’ve decided to continue using it for this particular purpose as well. For those that would like to gift/donate, you are welcome to do so here.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and we hope you celebrate Jhames with us on November 2nd. ❤️
