My name is Thomas DeGarmeaux, and it’s with a heavy heart that I share some devastating news. Yesterday, August 12th, my wife's mother, Jeanie Anderson, lost her beloved husband, Jerry Leo Anderson. His sudden passing has shaken not only his family but everyone who knew him.

Jerry was the kind of man whose heart seemed too big for this world. He loved deeply, gave freely, and encouraged others with words that seemed to land right where they were needed most. But nothing brought him more joy than his two daughters. He lit up when they smiled. He made it his mission to see them happy. And when their husbands entered the family, Jerry—often with tear-filled eyes—would make sure they knew just how grateful he was for the love and care they showed his girls—and the smiles reflected on their faces.

If you knew Jerry, you know he never let a moment pass without reminding people how much they mattered. In his honor, I want to encourage all of us to slow down, be present, and tell the people in our lives that we love them—today, not tomorrow. Take the extra time. Say the words. Make the call. Hug a little longer.
