We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of Jerry Katz, a loving husband, father, and dear friend to many.

The UCSF DGIM family is raising money to help cover the cost of Jerry's funeral services and future support for his family.

In Jerry's honor, let us support the loves of his life.

Throughout Jerry's health obstacles, Kim and KK's steadfast love gave him strength. As fate would have it, the three planned on enjoying a vacation together at Disneyland the weekend of his passing. Jerry is survived by his wife, Kim, a beloved member of UCSF DGIM who's work ethic and compassionate positivity spread to all those around her. Day in and day out, she works without taking time off or asking for help. Kim supports their daughter, KK, who is about to start high school, and supports her family back in Vietnam.
