A note from Nikki to each of you:
A life lived so happy deserves a happy remembrance and even though we are experiencing the sadness of losing Jerry that's exactly what we're going to do. We are going to have a celebration to truly honor the wonderful man, husband, and father he was and in the only way I know he would have wanted. Jerry knew no strangers and loved all who are in his life so I ask that you please come casually dressed for a happy gathering of family and friends and bring all your stories, laughter, and happiness for the life he lived to the fullest. We will be serving his favorite dishes, decorating in his favorite colors, and softly playing his favorite songs. We also ask that if you do intend to partake in this special event that you please RSVP on this Facebook account or at this cell number 317–384–5509. It is our hope that through this celebration we will all leave with smiles, fond memories, and his spirit in our hearts.
Thank you for all who made his life special.
Nikki Newkirk
Original Post:
On Sunday, January 9th 2022, our nephew Jerry Curtis Newkirk passed away unexpectedly in his sleep of heart failure at the young age of 42. While our family is in shock and grieving the sudden loss of a son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and nephew, our immediate concern is towards supporting and providing for Jerry Curtis’ wife Nikki and sons Liam (6) and Dakota (18).
This Go Fund Me page is dedicated to honoring Jerry Curtis by providing for his final internment costs. Additional funds raised will be dedicated to supporting Nikki, Liam, and Dakota during this time of grief and transition.
If you knew Jerry Curtis personally, you know that he loved his family well and loved to encourage others. With that thought in mind, please know that gifts of any amount will be of great encouragement to Nikki, Liam, and Dakota as well as Jerry Curtis’ mother Tina Clark Newkirk, brother Chris Newkirk, and sister Victoria Newkirk Lauderback.
Be blessed today and know that God is always with you!

Below is a 2020 Facebook post by Curtis, it’s a beautiful reflection into his heart!
“I want to say Happy Father’s Day to three amazing men that have made me the man and father I am today… Pop I love you and miss you every day…and my Grandpa Newkirk who passed on to my pop who then passed on to me….and then to my big brother Chris Newkirk… I love you brother! Over the past year you have shown me and my boys that you never give up and always stand up for what is right and what you believe in…love you all. Happy Father’s Day!”
