In Loving Memory of Jennifer Leigh Rebelo

Friends and family: As some of you may know, our mother, Jennifer Rebelo, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 5, 2023. She had type one diabetes, was immunocompromised and was also recently diagnosed with lupus. Given all her illnesses, and her long emotional and physical battle, her heart gave out last week. She died in my father's arms at the age of 49 - during what we thought would be a quick precautionary hospital visit - months away from her 50th birthday.

Our entire family is absolutely devastated. We all knew our mother was sick, of course, but we had no idea her diabetes could one day be the reason she was taken from us.

My parents were high school sweethearts and had been together since they were 17. My father, Marco, is in no way emotionally or financially prepared to bury the love of his life. Especially because he had just lost his dad (our grandfather) to cancer two weeks prior. We are all devastated and defeated.

In addition to my Dad, my mother is survived by me (22) and my two siblings: Alex (25) and Sophia (12). Everything is changing so fast for all of us. She was our world and we're trying our best to imagine a life without her, but the overwhelming financial burden has made things increasingly difficult.

If you are able, please consider donating. Funds will be used to alleviate my mother's funeral and burial costs, in addition to support my dad step into his new role as a single father after the devastating loss of his wife and his father in such close succession.
