It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved aunt, mother, and friend, Jeni Courte, who left us peacefully at home on Saturday, February 21, surrounded by her family. Jeni was a deeply kind and thoughtful soul, with a beautiful love for music and a lifelong affection for animals.

Her battle with cancer progressed with heartbreaking speed. What began in her lungs quickly spread to her brain, leaving her sons, Gene and Daniel, to navigate hospice and 24‑hour care in just a matter of weeks. Daniel became her primary caregiver, putting his own life on hold to make sure she was never alone.

We are raising funds to help Gene and Daniel with cremation expenses, remaining medical and property‑related bills, and basic living costs as Daniel works to rebuild after caring for his mom full‑time.

Jeni was so deeply loved, and we want to honor her with the simple, dignified farewell she deserves. If you are able to donate, any amount makes a meaningful difference. If you cannot give, sharing this fundraiser with others who cared for Jeni is equally appreciated.
