In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Scott Guillermo
Donation protected
Jeffrey Scott Guillermo was tragically taken from us on March 25, 2021 at just 29 years old — well on his way to graduating with his Engineering degree from ASU, and less than two months before he was scheduled to have gender-affirming top surgery. Jeff was an out trans man, barista, friend, son, partner, and so much more.
Jeff’s hospital bills were astronomical, and his family is asking for our support to help cover these fees. The specific dollar goal is symbolic — 29 being the age he passed, and 2/22 being his anniversary with his loving partner, Madi. Jeff always always always went to bat for everyone he loved, without fail — it’s our turn to come through for him and his family, in his memory.
I have never seen someone so deeply loved as our dearest Jeffrey Scott Guillermo. And it’s no surprise — Jeff was the most wonderful person many of us has ever known. He was warm and welcoming — the person who’d greet you with a warm smile and a hug every time you walked through the door, and give you a rough time if you tried to get out the door without hugging him before you left (and his hugs were the best!) He was energetic and gregarious, yet somehow simultaneously the most calming and grounding force.
Jeff is survived by his mother Susan Diza Guillermo, his father and his wife Jerry and Ada Guillermo, his aunts, uncles, cousins from New Jersey, Florida, California, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, New Zealand and the Philippines, and by the love of his life Madison Vanek.
