In Loving Memory of Jay Guido – Supporting the Guido Family
Donation protected
On May 6, 2025, our community suffered a heartbreaking loss. Jay Guido — a deeply loyal husband, proud father, and passionate friend — was tragically killed in a senseless hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Turnipseed Road in Wake County, North Carolina.
Jay had just returned from his own father’s funeral and chose to take a ride with his two sons, Nick and Nate, to clear his head and spend time doing what they loved together. During that ride, a vehicle aggressively passed them, slammed on the brakes, and fled the scene. Jay, traveling cautiously due to a mechanical issue on one of the bikes, laid down his motorcycle to avoid a collision. He was transported to the hospital but tragically did not survive his injuries.
Jay leaves behind his beloved wife, Kelly, and their three children — Karissa, Nick, and Nate — who now carry the weight of an unimaginable loss. Jay and Kelly were more than husband and wife — they were best friends in every sense. He was fiercely devoted to his family, and his greatest joy came from spending time with them — whether riding with his boys or just being together at home.
Jay was known for his hard work, his love of all things motorcycles and mechanics, and the deep relationships he built with everyone he met. He worked as a builder at Schumacher Homes, where his reputation for dedication and integrity followed him into every room he entered. When he wasn’t working, you’d find him out in the garage, tinkering with bikes or cars — or on the road, riding alongside his sons.
This GoFundMe has been created to support Kelly and the kids through this devastating time. Donations will go toward funeral expenses and easing the financial burdens that come with such a sudden and tragic loss.
Your generosity, no matter the amount, means more than words can express. It’s a way to honor Jay’s life and let his family know they are surrounded by love and support.
