After spending many years giving it her best fight at battling cancer things recently took an unexpected devastating turn. On the morning of Wednesday 5/13 our friend (and neighbor), Janell Willis-Norwood, passed away.

You may remember her as the friendly woman on the corner, forever nurturing her garden, or endlessly working on art projects out of her garage; one who neighbors and random passerbys were always stopping to talk to. The neighbor with the house that glows at night almost as much as she did during the day, the house with the best Halloween decorations that kids from out of town would come to see. She was a good person with a huge heart, a lover of all living things, generous, extremely creative and undeniably optimistic.

Janell was the love and light of this neighborhood; she added so much to our community and will be missed tremendously.

She leaves behind her husband and two young children. Please help us raise this money for Janell's beautiful family to help with the many expenses they have for the abrupt loss of their wife and mother.
