On October 6, 2025, at noon our beloved father, brother, and friend, James Carney Jr., passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack while stopping for gas in Lansing, IL. Though he had faced some health challenges, this sudden loss has deeply shaken our family and all who knew him.

James was truly one of a kind — a devoted family man, a chauffeur who took pride in his work, a loyal motorcycle club member, and a true foodie who loved sharing good meals and good laughs. His warm spirit, humor, and big heart left a lasting mark on everyone he met.

This fundraiser is organized by his sister, Pearlean Carney, and his daughter, Angeline Carney. We are raising $6,740 to help cover the costs of his funeral, memorial service, and cremation. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference as we come together to give James the farewell he deserves.
