In Loving Memory of Jake Curtis
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share the devastating loss of our nephew, Jake Curtis, an 18-year-old with a kind soul, a huge heart, and a smile that lit up every room. Jake tragically passed away in a car accident alongside two friends while returning home from lifeguard training, a role he was so proud of and excited to start.
Jake was a beloved son to Dax and Jessica and a devoted big brother to his twin siblings, Delaney and Jaxon. He wasn’t just a protector; he was a caretaker, especially to Jaxon, who has special needs. Their bond was extraordinary, and Jake’s compassion and patience with his brother were truly inspiring.
A high school senior just weeks from graduation, Jake was a dedicated member of the varsity swim team and the surf team. When he wasn’t in the water, he loved working on his car, always eager to learn, tinker, and fix. He lived with joy, generosity, and an open heart that left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
This fundraiser has been created to support Jake’s family as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Donations will go directly toward memorial expenses, continued care and support for Delaney and Jaxon, and other costs the Curtis family may face during this time of grief.
If you feel moved to contribute, any amount is deeply appreciated. Most importantly, thank you for keeping Jake and his family in your thoughts and hearts.
A memorial celebration of Jake’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31 at 2:00 PM at Goleta Beach (Area A). All are welcome.
