On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, our community lost a bright and gentle soul, 16-year-old Jahmir Pennington. Jahmir was known for his kindness, respect, and quiet strength. He was always willing to lend a hand and had a heart full of grace far beyond his years.

Tragically, Jahmir’s life was cut short when he was struck by a car while doing one of the things he loved most; riding his dirt bike. He found joy and freedom in those moments, and that’s how many of us will remember him: full of life, passion, and motion.

As his family faces this unimaginable loss, we’re coming together to help raise $10,000 to cover funeral expenses and a memorial in his honor. All funds will be managed by his grandmother, LaKisha Pennington, to ensure that Jahmir is laid to rest with the dignity and love he deserves.
