On February 22, 2026, our beloved Jaelon “Jae” Minor, age 25, was tragically taken from us in a sudden and senseless act of violence in Columbia, Maryland. Jaelon was found with fatal stab wounds inside his apartment, and despite the rapid response from law enforcement, he did not survive. A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with his death.(WBAL)

Jaelon was a dearly loved son, brother, and friend. He leaves behind his three siblings and his devoted parents, Chiffonia Lloyd and John Newby, who are now facing the unimaginable pain of losing their child. Jaelon was known for his warm spirit, his friendship, and the joy he brought into the lives of those who knew him.

This sudden loss has left the family not only heartbroken, but also struggling with overwhelming emotional and financial burdens. Funeral and memorial expenses, travel costs for family members, and basic daily needs have placed an unthinkable strain on the Minors’ household during a time that should be devoted solely to grieving and healing.
