In loving memory of Jacob Mandigo

It is with deep sadness and shock that we reach out to you all and share the passing of Jacob Mandigo, a cherished son, brother, and member of the Middletown community. Jacob lived his entire life in Middletown and attended the local schools. He graduated from Middletown High in 2022. He enjoyed school and loved being around his teachers, nurses, aides, and drivers. Throughout his school years, he touched the hearts of many with his personality, his smile, and his gentle spirit.

As many of you know, Jacob had special needs and required ongoing care throughout his 25 years of life. His mom Chris, dad Michael, and sister Brittany were his sole caregivers, and their world literally revolved around him and making sure his needs were met. Their steadfast determination to keep him home and meet his complex medical needs without outside services is a testament to them all. Extended family, friends, and neighbors understood the strength and importance of that family bond and admired them for it.

His death has not only left an enormous emotional void but has also brought unexpected financial burdens during this time. We are reaching out asking for your help. Any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward covering expenses and helping the family find some peace as they navigate their heartbreaking loss.

Jacob was incredibly special and will be remembered by all who had the opportunity to meet him, look into his big beautiful blue eyes, and perhaps be lucky enough to hear his laugh.
