In loving memory of Jackie and Joelaya

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news of Jackie and baby Joelaya going to heaven. On Thursday May 4th Jackie and Joelaya were in a terrible car accident. Her Port Jefferson Family Medicine (where Jackie worked) family wanted to set up this go fund me for the unexpected medical and any other expenses that came from this horrific event. We wanted to share a little bit about Jackie and Joelaya and how impactful they both were in this world.

Jackie was the light in everyone’s lives, her positivity, strength and courage were unmatched. Her laugh was contagious, her family meant everything to her. On February 8th 2022, Jackie brought beautiful Joelaya into this world, named after Jackie and Stephanie’s Father Joe, and husband of Kathy who passed away in 2021 from Covid. Joelaya was the light in Jackie’s life, like Jackie said “I wasn’t ready for you but god knew I needed you”.

Jackie’s niece, Mikaela and nephew, Gibson were also a huge part of her life. She loved them so very much.

Jackie has been a part of Port Jefferson Family Medicine for many many years, she grew up there, when we first met her, we knew from the beginning that she was a family person and loved them all so much.

Jackie and Joelaya- we all love you so much, it is so painful and heart breaking that god had other plans for you, the little bit of peace we can find with this is that you are now with your dad and grandpa.
