In Loving Memory of Jace
It is with shattered hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Jace B. Aquilina, just 13 years old. Jace was the sweetest soul — kind, gentle, and full of quiet light. He loved going to church, riding his bike around the neighborhood, playing soccer, and strumming his guitar. He was looking forward to starting baseball this year, excited for the season ahead. He had dreams, laughter, and so much life still ahead of him.
Jace passed away as a result of struggling with mental illness. This unimaginable loss has left our family heartbroken beyond words. While we mourn the beautiful boy we loved so dearly, we are asking for support to help cover medical expenses and to ease the weight on his loved ones during this devastating time. Any contribution — no matter the amount — will go directly toward expenses and helping our family focus on grieving and honoring Jace’s life. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Most importantly, we hope Jace’s story reminds others that depression is real, even in young hearts. Please check on your loved ones. Speak openly about mental health. And never be afraid to ask for help. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out for support. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or chat via 988lifeline.org. If you are outside the U.S., please contact your local crisis hotline or emergency number. You are not alone.
Thank you for surrounding our family with love, compassion, and support as we say goodbye to our sweet Jacey.
