In Loving Memory of Ivan Patricio Plaza

Ivan Patricio Plaza Ortega was born in Cuenca, Ecuador on March 31, 1964. He came to California as a young man in his 20s. He met and married his wife and loved his 6 children. Ivan will be remembered as a man that had the biggest loving heart. He loved his grandchildren all 6 of them. He never judged anyone and was always there to listen. His favorite hobbies were spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed the pool, going out to eat at different restaurants and going to the casino. On March 2020 he became sick with COVID-19. He was admitted to the ICU and intubated on April 8th. He fought for a month and fought till the very end he fought for his family to be by his side at his last moments. On May 8th, God saw him getting tired and knew he would never get better again so he put his arms around him and whispered “come to me”. Also leaving behind 4 brothers, a sister and his mother. It broke his families heart to lose him but they know he is no longer suffering and they have gained an angel. Although the family knew he was sick, to them it was untimely. They were full of hope that he would recover. Because this was unexpected to the family, we are asking to help them with funeral and burial arrangements. This loving big hearted man deserved a proper service. This is the first death in the family and they are truly grieving. Anything helps and his family would be very grateful.
