My name is Jessica Lima, and I am writing this on behalf of my family after the passing of my beloved father, Israel Lima Mejia.

It is with heavy hearts that we share that after Israel was diagnosed with cancer, we held onto hope that we would have more time. What began as months quickly turned into weeks, and then into days. The progression was devastatingly fast, and his passing came far sooner than we were prepared for, leaving our family in shock and deep grief.

Israel was hardworking, strong, and endlessly supportive. He carried our family with resilience and love, always putting others before himself. His strength, sense of humor, and unconditional support shaped our lives in more ways than we can put into words. He showed his love not just through words, but through action — through long days, sacrifices, and always making sure his family was okay. He was strong in ways that often went unnoticed, carrying burdens quietly so that we wouldn’t have to.

As we come to terms with Israel’s passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging his funeral. We want to give him the dignified, heartfelt send-off that he deserves. But unfortunately, the financial burden of funeral expenses is overwhelming for our family during this already challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden on our family as we navigate this loss and begin the process of honoring his life.
