In Loving Memory of Ingrid Moore by Jennifer Bowman
Donation protected
Hello all,
My name is Alexandria Owens, I am the niece of Ingrid Moore who has went home to be with the Lord on May 3, 2025. I have started this gofundme page on behalf of my cousin, Jennifer Bowman, who is Ingrid’s daughter. As you can imagine, this is a very hard time for Jennifer and our family. In the midst of trying to coordinate her mother’s funeral arrangements, Jennifer is seeking financial assistance so that she may comfortably lay her mother to rest on May 23, 2025. Please consider supporting Jennifer and our family during this difficult time. All donations are deeply appreciated!
Words from Jennifer about her adored mother:
“A beautiful way to describe my mother, Ingrid Moore, is to say she was a lifelong educator—devoted to teaching and uplifting others for 34 incredible years.
My beloved mother, Ingrid Moore, was born in Oakland, California, on November 9, 1956, to her adoring mother, Mattie Moore. The love my grandmother had for my mom radiated so deeply that anyone who met my mom could feel it instantly.
My mother was not only an extraordinary teacher, but the greatest mother I could have ever asked for. As her only child, I, Jennifer Bowman, am proud to carry forward her legacy—a legacy built on compassion, faith, and unwavering dedication to others. She was a true giver, a child of God, and a woman who always trusted that the Lord would guide her path.
My mom worked tirelessly to achieve her dreams, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Education, followed by a Master’s degree in Educational Administration. Her dedication and love for her students did not go unnoticed—she was named Teacher of the Year before retiring and was honored for her acts of kindness, leadership, and impact in education. She taught math, science, and robotics at Foshay Learning Center, worked with LAUSD, and collaborated with the University of Southern California on robotics programs. Her passion for learning, especially in the fields of technology, was inspiring.
Beyond her professional life, my mom had so many joys. She loved traveling to new places, exploring the latest in technology, cooking delicious meals, making crafts, meeting new people, and was fascinated with cars.
In her later years, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, a difficult journey that brought unexpected blessings. It brought her and her brother, Charles Owens, relationship closer as he was also bravely battling cancer at the same time. She was deeply connected to her younger sister and was blessed to have her older sister, Bernadette, be apart of her life and share special moments before she transitioned.
Now, we are comforted by the knowledge that my mother has peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord, reunited with her dear mother, brother, and sister in eternal rest.
May God bless you Ingrid Moore.
It’s your time to rest, Mom. Your work here is done, and your journey continues with the Lord. Job well done. Your daughter, Jennifer Bowman, honors you, your legacy, and every wish for your eternal peace.
Amen.”
