In Loving Memory of Hem Rai– A Tribute to a Gentle Soul

It is with deep sadness that we share the loss of our former colleague Hem Chandra Rai, who passed away after a brave battle with bowel cancer.

Hem began his journey with Gurkha Security Services (GSS) at the Lidl Basingstoke site, and over the years, he served at various locations, becoming especially well-known and respected at NHS sites. Hem was widely appreciated by his colleagues and clients alike for his soft nature, respectful character, and kind heart. He always carried himself with quiet dignity and a gentle presence that touched everyone he worked with.

Even during his illness, Hem showed immense courage and strength, fighting his battle with remarkable bravery until the very end. His loss has deeply affected those who knew him.

To support his family during this painful time, we are raising funds to help with funeral costs and other related expenses. Hem's funeral will take place on Thursday, 22nd May. We will share the exact time and location soon. We encourage everyone who knew Hem to join us in paying their final respects.
