In Loving Memory of Hector Garcia - A Great Friend

Donation protected
As many of you may already know our beloved friend and family member Hector Garcia passed away July 9th 2020 after his more than a month long battle with Covid-19. He was still a very young and healthy man of just 30 years old and he fought a great fight, but the virus was extremely aggressive for him and eventually it took him. Hector was an EGM technician by trade but he had aspirations and worked creatively to make media to Entertain people. Hector loved making people laugh and was good at it. He was one of the kindest people I have ever known and would often sacrifice to help people he cared for when they were in need, sometimes even when he didn't really have the means to. He was a man who loved his family more than anything and for the friends he loved, he treated them like they were family. He was smart and opinionated and was never shy about sharing those opinions, but respected those of others even if he disagreed. He was my best friend and we shared a love of anime and video games. We would often just hang out together on our days off and just watch and play them all day long to blow off the stress of the work week. Hector was always a careful person and his falling ill wasn't due to anything he did wrong, but despite than in the end he was more worried for the others that he was afraid he'd put at risk than himself. His last words to his sister were to tell her that he loved her and he was sorry. For me personally, his passing has devastated me in a way that I don't think i can ever really heal from. I honestly haven't even scratched the surface and I'd like to go on and on about what a wonderful person he was, but I'd be typing forever. The reason I made this fundraiser is because the family that Hector loved so much is going through a very tough time in the wake of his passing. There are funeral costs they will have to settle as well as substantial medical debt due to his illness that will fall to his estate. As hard as his loss has hit his friends, his family has obviously been hit harder and the last thing they need to worry about right now is how they are going to afford to pay for everything. I know for certain that is the last thing Hector would want for them. 100% of all the funds earned will go directly to Hector's immediate family to assist with the funeral and medical costs, as well as anything else the family may need it for to ease their burden in this trying time. Hector's sister Dalia Garcia will be in charge of the family's expenses. I have set the goal at $10,000 because that is the approximate cost of all funeral and burial expenses, but it certainly doesn't need to end there. These times are hard for all of us and especially so having lost people dear to us. However if you can give, please do so that Hector can rest easy knowing his family is taken care of without him.
