In Loving Memory of Hari Narayan

Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe page. We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved father, Hari Narayan, tragically lost his life in a road traffic collision on Monday 16th October 2023. A loving brother, father, grand-father and dedicated friend, and his memory will forever live on in our hearts.

About Hari Prasad Narayan:

Born on the 25th November 1955, in Suva Fiji, came to the UK in the 1970s.

Son of Father Ram Narayan and Mother Kalawati Narayan.

He was 1 of 8 siblings, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

He made a life for himself in the UK, having upskilled in the motor trade and always been an avid car enthusiast.

He'd worked tirelessly for his entire life, working in a large bakery, then as a motor mechanic, later with a furniture charity and then finally ending in retail.

He always aimed to provide for his family and support them in any way he was able to do so. Whether an ear for listening, a shoulder to cry on, a car that needed fixing, furniture that needed moving or any other way in which he could donate his time towards his loved one.

As a dedicated family, his roles continually changed. He was a loving father, wise and full of life. As a brother, he always aimed to be there for his siblings. As a son, he continued to share stories of his parental upbringing and teachings which made him the amazing man he today.

Our Purpose:

In honor of our dad's memory, we would like to create a lasting tribute that reflects his love for nature and community. We are raising funds to plant a memorial tree and place a plaque in his name.

How You Can Help:

We kindly request that, instead of sending flowers, you consider contributing to this memorial fund. Your donation will help us create a beautiful and living tribute to our dad, one that will continue to grow and provide solace to those who visit.

Donation Details:

We are hoping to raise a minimum of £500, which will cover the cost of purchasing a large fruit tree in his name, cost of the tree, plaque, and any additional expenses.

All sums from donations will be used towards the memorial.

Should there be any funds remaining, Dad recently started volunteering with a local homeless charity and would have liked some funds to go towards feeding those less fortunate.
