It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved colleague, friend, and family member, George Apiata. George was a deeply respected member of the Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison team, known for his unwavering dedication, quiet strength, and the warmth he brought to everyone around him.

George’s impact reached far beyond the workplace—he was a mate, and a man of integrity who gave generously of himself. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched.
