In Loving Memory of Gary McMahon

IN LOVING MEMORY OF GARY MCMAHON – SUPPORTING KENDRA MCMAHON & FAMILY

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Gary McMahon, a beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.

Gary worked as a set painter most of his life and was a proud IATSE member for nearly 40 years (Local 729 most recently). When he wasn’t working, you could find him on the golf course with his dogs, Sox & Mable, at his heels. Gary was a devout LA Kings & LA Dodgers fan and would talk about the current state of “his” teams for as long as you would let him. Gary continually kept those around him entertained with his stories, funny knick-knacks, and spontaneous videos.

Gary is survived by his daughter Kendra McMahon, two grandchildren, Ethan and Stetson, and his siblings Bob McMahon, Darlene Beardsley, Jeff McMahon, and Carolyn Hazuka. As well as his loyal companions: Sox, Mable, and Ellie.

Unfortunately, Kendra and her family, who reside out of state, experienced a car breakdown during their trip to Gary’s home. The unexpected repairs, coupled with hotel expenses and the need to take time off work without pay, have placed an additional burden on them. For those that have asked how best to help, we hope to alleviate some of the financial strain Kendra and her family are experiencing as they pack up Gary’s house and navigate the necessary tasks to close out his life in California.

A funeral for Gary will be held at a later date. We will share that information as it becomes available.
