Freddie saved my life, now I want to help save others

Hi, my name is Amy, and last night I lost my beloved dog, Freddie.

Freddie was never just a pet. He came into my life after I had experienced a deeply traumatic time, when I couldn’t see any hope or future for myself. I felt completely lost.

Then I found Freddie at Dogs Trust in Darlington, and everything began to change.

From the moment he came home with me, he gave me a reason to keep going. On my darkest days, he was my comfort, my purpose, and my light. Because of Freddie, I started to heal. He didn’t just change my life, he saved it.

Last night, Freddie passed away, and the loss is indescribable. I feel like I’ve lost my best friend and the one who carried me through the hardest time in my life.

In Freddie’s memory, I want to give something back to the place that brought us together. I’m raising money for Dogs Trust in Darlington so they can continue rescuing and caring for dogs who are still waiting for their second chance, just like Freddie once was.
