Freddie was one of kind. A gentle soul that made friends everywhere he went. No matter who, what, where, or when, it didn’t matter - if he had known you for 20 minutes or 20 years - Freddie was amongst friends. Always the life of the party, from DJ’ing junior high school parties to lightening up the mood at work, to putting a smile on your face via text with his over-the-top sense of humor - his energy was unique and uplifting. He was a very special person.
Family, friends, and community are shocked & devastated at the loss of such a sweet and gentle soul. We all know Freddie would be the first one to be there for us, so let’s return the favor. The fun-loving, big old Teddy bear we love needs us right now. We need to be there for Jessica, Nancy & Little Freddie.
All funds raised through this will go directly to covering funeral costs and burial expenses while anything over will go to Little Freddie and his College Fund.
Freddie was loved by all within this community and it was a true honor to have the time we did with him. Our lives have been enriched and more fulfilled by having him in it.
We hope everyone can pull together to show the support & how much he was loved and try to ease this burden on his family. No one should have to think about expenses at a time like this. Please help the family in their time of need. Any amount would be greatly appreciated and every cent counts.

1. Who am I and how am I related to Freddie Rust?
We are a few lifelong friends and have been authorized by Jessica & Nancy to put this together for the family. 100% percent of funds raised through this site will be transferred to the Rust family in an account designated by Freddie’s wife Jessica in a timely fashion. They will have 100% ownership rights of all funds collected here and will be managed and spent at the families’ sole discretion.
2. Will there be any other funds set up for Little Freddie?
In addition to another fundraiser BBQ - Yes - there will be a College Fund established for Little Freddie so if you would like to be notified when this fund becomes available, please mention so in the Comments and we will reach out when the fund is available.
3. Are there other ways I can contribute to the Rust family?
