On July 14th the world lost one of its brightest lights. Florita Morales was a woman whose tenacity and joy spread to those who knew her. Having dedicated over 30 years to Metrolinx at multiple GO stations she might have been a small part of one of your commutes, and hopefully shared a laugh with you too. She was a cherished member of her community and left an unforgettable mark on so many lives.

Florita Morales was the go to party planner of the Morales family. She was the life of every celebration. Her love for life turned every simple family gathering into a party filled with music, laughter, and love. As well as being the family’s designated party planner she was also a woman of deep faith, always offering light, kindness and compassion to those around her.

Her untimely passing has left her family emotionally shattered, especially as she served as one of her 100-year-old mothers primary caregivers. She is survived by her sons. With David being the household’s only other source of income, we are humbly reaching out for support during this incredibly difficult time. All funds raised will go directly to helping her sons manage funeral expenses and to support the ongoing care of Florita’s mother in the wake of their sudden loss.
