In Loving Memory of Ernie Flores
Donation protected
Our family has suffered another unbelievably tragic loss this past week. We are devastated to announce Ernie Flores passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday, May 18th, 2023. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. When we posted the news, someone expressed Ernie was “larger than life,” which describes him perfectly. He was larger than life. It’s safe to say there was no one like him. He was unapologetically himself. You knew when Ernie was around as he had a joyful, exciting presence and was the life of the party. Even though he portrayed a tough exterior, he also had the biggest heart. He made any newcomers feel welcome and made his family feel incredibly loved.
One thing about Ernie that unites us all is that he was never afraid to call everyone and tell them he loved them. In a world where social media and texting triumph, in a world where men are afraid to show their emotions, Ernie went out of his way to actually pick up the phone and call everyone just to see how they were doing. He was quick to help others. Whenever someone needed help with moving or demolition, he was the guy to call and was there in a heartbeat.
Ernie was a single father to his two beautiful sons Elijah (9) and Matthew (7). He loved them more than anything. He would be heartbroken to know he will not be physically around to continue to show them affection as they grow up. He was also a father figure to many and helped raise many individuals throughout his life.
One thing that was for certain, an encounter with Ernie always consisted of two things: an “I love you,” and a “Yay yay!” We will miss him deeply.
If Ernie ever called you out of the blue, lent you a helping hand, made you smile, or if you ever heard him say his famous “Yay Yay,” please consider making a donation. All donations will go directly to his children who will now be under the care of Veronica Flores, as per Ernie’s wishes.
We appreciate you all and below you will find the information for his services. We would love for you to attend. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
