Hello everyone,
My name is Ada Cacciatore, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister in law Carmen Quintero during this difficult time.
Our family recently lost our beloved Ernest “Ernie” Lawrence Harris IV. Ernie, 67, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family beside his longtime partner, Carmen Quintero. He was the beloved son of Ernest “Ernie” Lawrence Harris III and Marilyn of Bridgewater. He faced life with strength, kindness, and courage, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
During this incredibly painful time, we are asking for support for the family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
Ernie was a loving partner, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and coworker who was deeply loved by many. He is survived by his brother Drew Harris and Donna of Dighton; Darrin and Paula Harris of Windsor; Dale and Jennifer Harris of Hingham; along with many nieces, nephews, family members, and loved ones. He was also preceded in death by Dana Harris of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Those who knew Ernie will remember him as a strong, loyal, and caring man. He enjoyed traveling, cruises, classic Mustang cars, being a devoted Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, and spending time with the people he loved. One of his greatest joys was creating memories with his family and seeing his grandchildren happy. He also left a special mark on many coworkers and friends throughout the years at Spirit Airlines, where he was known for being a strong voice for the union and for workers’ rights.
Although our hearts mourn this tremendous loss, we are grateful for all the memories, love, and moments shared with him throughout the years. His presence, kindness, and spirit will never be forgotten.
A funeral Mass service will be held on May 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM to honor and celebrate Ernie’s life at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 5601 South Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33330.

Nuestra familia recientemente perdió a nuestro querido Ernest “Ernie” Lawrence Harris IV. Ernie, de 67 años, falleció en paz el 6 de mayo de 2026, rodeado del amor de su familia y junto a su compañera de vida de muchos años, Carmen Quintero. Fue el querido hijo de Ernest “Ernie” Lawrence Harris III y Marilyn de Bridgewater. Enfrentó la vida con fortaleza, bondad y valentía, y será profundamente extrañado por todos quienes tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerlo y amarlo.
Durante este momento tan doloroso, estamos pidiendo apoyo para la familia mientras atraviesan esta gran pérdida.
Ernie fue una pareja, padre, abuelo, hermano, amigo y compañero de trabajo muy querido por muchos. Quienes conocieron a Ernie lo recordarán como un hombre fuerte, leal y cariñoso. Disfrutaba viajar, los cruceros, los autos clásicos Mustang, era un gran fanático de los Red Sox y New England Patriots, le encantaba pasar tiempo con las personas que amaba. Una de sus mayores alegrías era compartir momentos con su familia y ver felices a sus nietos. También dejó una huella especial en muchos compañeros de trabajo y amigos de Spirit Airlines, donde fue reconocido por ser una voz fuerte para el sindicato y los derechos de los trabajadores.
Aunque nuestros corazones están de luto por esta gran pérdida, agradecemos todos los recuerdos, el amor y los momentos compartidos con él a lo largo de los años. Su presencia, bondad y espíritu nunca serán olvidados.
Se llevará a cabo una misa funeral el 14 de mayo de 2026 a las 6:00 PM para honrar y celebrar la vida de Ernie en St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, ubicada en 5601 South Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33330.
