Dear friends and family,
With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of Erik Donald, known and loved by all as E-Rach. He was a brother, a loving son, and a deeply cherished friend whose life ended far too soon. E-Rach lived boldly, embracing every moment with an open heart. His humor was unforgettable, and his presence brought light, laughter, and adventure to everyone around him.
An artist, photographer, skydiving instructor, and videographer, Erik was also an accomplished wingsuit pilot who pushed the boundaries of what was possible in BASE. In his own words, he was an Aerial Expressionist. He pursued everything he loved with remarkable talent, courage, and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
We are raising funds to honor E-Rach with a Celebration of Life that reflects his vibrant spirit and to ensure his loved ones can gather together to remember him. Any support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this page, means more than we can express during this incredibly difficult time.
Donations will help cover:
- Travel, lodging, and transportation for E-Rach’s family coming from Canada
- Park reservation and essential event needs (seating, audio equipment, and logistics)
- Artist compensation for photography and drone footage to preserve these memories
- Reprints of E-Rach’s beloved Moth stickers
- Boat rental for round jumps in his honor
Following the ash dive ceremony, we will gather at Centennial Park on Friday the 22nd for a vegetarian potluck — honoring his love for animals — along with a service where any family and friends can share memories and celebrate the life he lived so fully.
As many of you may know, E-Rach had a profound love for rounds, so we will also dedicate a day to round jumps in his honor. “The Future is Round” — E-Rach
You can find more details on the event schedule and logistics on the FaceBook Memorial Event page
Any funds raised beyond what is needed will be shared between Moab Search and Rescue and a secondary memorial in Moab. The majority will support Moab Search and Rescue — the team that reached E-Rach in time for him to donate his organs and save countless lives — helping them continue their vital work. A portion will also go toward a smaller memorial in the Utah desert he proudly called home.
With the family’s blessing, every ~300$ reached, we will share an entry from E-Rach’s logbook as I know these are precious glimpses into the art and authentic self of someone we all miss dearly.
We promise full transparency and will provide updates along the way. Thank you for helping us give E-Rach the beautiful and meaningful send-off he deserves.
If E-Rach ever made you smile, pushed you to live a little bigger, or touched your life in any way, we invite you to help us honor him.
