In Loving Memory of Eric Chan

I'm writing this because we are a family who has lost someone dearly close not only to us, but to everyone he met—Eric Narith Chan.
Everyone loved Eric for the kindness he showed to others, and people found that truly beautiful. His kindness isn’t the only wonderful thing about him; if I were to write about how great he is, I could fill a never-ending series of books. That’s how amazing he is. My brother always knew exactly what to say or do in any situation. There was nothing I couldn’t discuss with him without receiving guidance and support.
Now, as I sit here writing this, I’m left with questions like, "What happened? How did you feel? What were you going through?" These are questions I’ll never get answers to. You had a long life ahead of you; at only 23, you were taken from us. Everyone is left with the same question: why? No one could have imagined that something like this could happen, but it does, and I am utterly distraught. This is truly heart-wrenching.
As a family, we are struggling with our grief. We don’t know what to do, what to say, or even how to think. Everyone is hurting. So many tears have been shed, and there have been countless conversations about how well-loved you are.
We are a family just trying to grieve the loss of someone so dear to us, and we would appreciate any support during this difficult time.
