My beautiful daughter Emilie passed away at the hospital on 12-04-25. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer last year and had been undergoing hormone therapy, but this therapy caused a lot of side effects, messing with her kidneys and weight. She went in on 11-17-25 and had the gastric sleeve done. She came home on 11-19-25 and was on oxygen for about 3 or 4 days. She seemed okay the first week and a half, but then she could barely eat, drink anything, and just wanted to sleep. She then started vomiting, and I begged her to go to the hospital, but she said, 'Mom, I will be okay. This happens sometimes with this surgery.' That night she asked for her oxygen back, and I said, 'If you need oxygen, you need to go to the hospital.' She said, 'I just want to sleep, and in the morning, if I’m not better, I will go!' The next morning, the same thing happened: vomiting and not being able to hold anything down. I called 9-1-1. They took her to the hospital and ran test after test. They called me and told me she coded, and they were trying to work on her and for me to get to the hospital now. They tried to bring her back for 55 minutes. My husband and I said to stop; it’s been too long. She’s gone. She has 2 massive blood clots in her lungs pushing her heart! Pulmonary embolism her trying to be a nurse would be so mad at me if I didn’t use medical terms when telling it! So if you can find it in your heart to donate so I can bury my daughter, I would greatly appreciate it! I love my baby girl so much. This is the worst pain in the whole world. I also just lost my dad a month ago, so this is the second time I have had to bury a loved one. So please share, donate, and pray for us! My baby was so full of wanting life to be so perfect and was trying to get better so she could finish her nursing career and try for that family she so desperately wanted!
