In Loving Memory of Elwood Jefferson
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I share this difficult news. On March 22nd, Elwood Jefferson, a devoted father and brother, tragically collapsed in the driveway of my parents' home. A kind neighbor found him and called an ambulance, but by the time they arrived, it was too late. Elwood had been without oxygen for too long.
Despite the doctors' best efforts to stabilize him, they ultimately advised that there were no signs of life, and our family was faced with the unimaginable. We were able to gather his wife, Sandra Forbes, and all four of his daughters to say goodbye when life support was removed on March 23rd at 3:00 PM, and Elwood’s heart slowly came to a stop.
This loss is sudden, and we are all still in shock. We are uncertain about what the future holds for our family, but we are united in honoring his memory.
We are asking for the help and support of our community, Elwood's friends, and anyone who knew him. He was a kind-hearted man, a loving father, and a character who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Elwood was also a proud army veteran, who served two tours in Vietnam. He was honored to serve his country, and fight for the freedom he loved and believed in.
The funds raised will go toward funeral expenses to lay Elwood to rest in his hometown of Bath, North Carolina, and will also assist his surviving daughters and wife during this difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your support, love, and kindness during this challenging time.
