In loving memory of Elvira Bucu

Donation protected
On Friday 3rd April,  we lost the most beautiful wife, the most loving mother, the most caring daughter and the most wonderful friend to covid-19. To those of you who were fortunate enough to meet Elvira Bucu, she had the most beautiful soul. Her smile would lighten up any room, she brought joy to those around her and always put her family, friends and most importantly God first.

Elvie is an only child, born and raised in the Philippines where she met her loving husband Michael when they were teenagers. Together they made the big decision to move over to the UK to seek a better life and secure a better future for themselves. She began her career in the UK as a carer and healthcare assistant for the NHS, while her husband became a head chef of a nursing home. She always put the health and wellbeing of others before herself and without a doubt served her community to the utmost of her ability. They also became incredible parents to three beautiful girls who are nothing short of amazing.

Elvie's death was sudden, unexpected and we are all still in shock. She only just turned 50 and she still had her whole life ahead of her. She was still yet to see her daughter get married, she was still yet to live the life she planned and worked so hard for.  She was still yet to know what it was like to become a grandmother. She was still yet to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse. Elvie's parents are still back in the Philippines and due to the current covid-19 situation, are unable to fly to the UK to say their goodbyes to their only daughter. Her husband is still recovering from also having symptoms of the disease and her children are doing all they can to be strong for one another. As the whole world is trying to pull together and get through such hard times, you can only imagine an unexpected loss like this is something one can not prepare for emotionally and financially.

On behalf of the Bucu family, we are asking for your prayers and donations during this difficult time, in the hope that we can all try and help ease this families financial worries. We are asking for £8,000 to be raised which will help cover the funeral costs and to give them the time they all need to heal.

On behalf of the Bucu Family, thank you all in advance for your kind donations, thoughts and prayers.
