In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Toro

On December 10, 2020, we lost our dear friend and colleague, Elizabeth Toro, to COVID-19. Liz and her mother, Maria Elena, both passed away this week after earlier contracting the virus.
Liz was an amazing teacher and friend. To know her was to love her. She was best known for her dedication and immense passion for helping her students succeed. She had the most fantastic relationships with her students and was seen as a mother figure to many on campus. Her students were her love-she went to battle for them day in and day out. She was their rock, even after they left Johnson.
Liz will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the students and staff of Johnson Middle School.
We would like to raise funds to help Liz's family with the necessary arrangements to put her and her mother to rest. Any remaining funds will go back into Liz's community to help support her students in need at Johnson Middle School.
