PLEASE HELP WITH MY MOM’S FUNERAL(Eileen Hoffman)
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Shana, Eileen's Daughter; my son set this up in hopes that his Grandmother is commemorated properly! She was a God-fearing woman who helped many people in the name of the Lord! We sit here today and acknowledge that she is no longer with us and is free from suffering on Earth... We believe Eileen, like everyone else, deserves to rest in everlasting peace! With this GOFUNDME, we plan on taking care of all her funeral expenses to send her off with the utmost dignity that she deserves!!!
If you didn't know my mom, she was a fighter, such a fighter she fought till her last breath!!! This journey she had begun on February 12th, a day before her 59th Birthday, when she admitted herself to the hospital. She was in the hospital for two weeks as they discharged her to a nursing home. Unfortunately, it was a terrible place. Luckily, a beautiful nurse informed us that she needed to be taken out immediately and brought back to the hospital, which we did!!! We had an escort to the hospital in an ambulance; she was in actual critical condition that even one of the EMTs was praying with us with his eyes closed as we made our way through the city. She fought as they came time and time again, trying to discharge her even though she was in such a sick state. They finally released her against my wishes; once she was in a slightly stable condition. She kept fighting even at home, where she could not leave since she had to walk 52 steps up and down just for some fresh air. She was falling back into a critical state; I knew it was time to try a new hospital as I visited her. She ended up having two drainage procedures done to no eval. Something was wrong. They’re not telling me; I don't know what it is. She fought till the day after Mothers Day when I received a call that they had a low pulse, but they had it under control. Then I received another call she had passed, yet they were able to bring her back.
While I was on my way, I received another phone call stating that they had to resuscitate her for the second time. As I was in the hospital, I received another phone call. They are doing emergency procedures to save her life. In total awe and shock, I walk into what was a MICU room converted into an Operating room. She's a fighter till her last days. She was pronounced dead twice on the same day but still hung on. I know this is a little all over the place because we are so broken as this was a smack out of the left field, so I apologize in advance. Everything counts. There's nothing too little, even if it's just a prayer, a $1, it all adds up.
We appreciate any help you can provide.
