Hi, my name is Lottie and I’ve started this go fund me on Behalf of everyone at LNER.

We are heartbroken for the loss of a much loved friend and colleague of the East Coast Main Line, Edwin Bown. He was someone who carried many personal battles, yet never allowed them to dim the light he gave to others. No matter what he was facing, he showed up with kindness, humour and a heart that had room for everyone.

Edwin loved fiercely and without hesitation. His empathy and compassion flowed freely, and he had a rare gift for knowing when someone needed encouragement and when they needed celebration. He lifted people in their hardest moments and stood proudly beside them in their successes. To many of us, he was the ECML’s very own Del Boy, master of the side hustle, always full of stories, plans and that unmistakable spark of life.

He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Edwin was a son, a brother, a father and the kind of best friend people are lucky to find once in a lifetime. His impact reached far beyond the railway and into the lives of so many who were better for having known him.

We will miss him more than he could ever have imagined.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help support with funeral costs and the expenses that come at such a difficult time.
