In Loving Memory of Edwin Fonseca

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Edwin Fonseca Morales, who left this world peacefully on March 8, 2025, at the age of 64.

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Edwin spent many beautiful years in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, before settling in Virginia Beach in 2008. He took pride in his work with James River Transportation, where he made lasting friendships and was admired for his dedication and spirit.

Edwin was a man full of life — a talented cook known for his unforgettable bacalao salad con viandas, a loyal Mets fan, and a passionate Call of Duty gamer. He had a deep love for cars and could often be found under the hood, always eager to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand.

To those who knew him, Edwin was the kind of person who lit up every room. His laughter, his jokes, and his big heart left a mark on everyone he met. He was a man of unwavering faith, attending church every Sunday and encouraging others to embrace the Lord’s love with the same joy and gratitude that he carried in his heart.

Edwin loved road trips, discovering new restaurants, and most of all, spending time with his loved ones. He was the proud father of his only daughter, Paola Fonseca, and the cherished son of Juana Morales and Jose Fonseca.

As we celebrate Edwin’s life, we are also facing the difficult task of covering the expenses that come with saying goodbye. We are humbly asking for your support to help honor Edwin’s memory with a proper farewell. Any contribution, big or small, will help ease the financial burden during this incredibly painful time.
