Hi, my name is Selina Martinez Lopez, and I’m raising funds in loving memory of my father, Eber Noe Martinez De Leon, who passed away suddenly at his residence on February 5th, 2026.

My dad was born in Guatemala on December 18th, 1980. He came to the United States about 28 years ago to build a better future and create what he proudly called his legacy. He worked tirelessly to support our family and give us a better life.

My father was one of the funniest — yet grumpiest — people you could ever meet. For every comment, he had a witty comeback or a joke ready. He loved making us laugh, whether it was through his funny sayings or the little things he’d try at home — like watching magic tricks and life hacks on Facebook and attempting to recreate them with us. Even when they almost never worked, he kept trying, and that perseverance is one of the traits I loved most about him.

I’ll always miss seeing him walking at the park, dancing with him at every family party, and hearing his humor that could light up any room. He loved listening to the Word of God, and his faith meant a lot to him. He was stubborn, hardworking, funny, and deeply devoted to the people he loved.

My dad carried a lot of heartbreak in his life. He suffered the tragic loss of his brother, Jose Alfredo, who was murdered in Guatemala many years ago. Just six months ago, he lost another brother, Eduardo Martinez De Leon — a loss that deeply broke his heart. I want to believe that my dad and his brothers are now reunited and at peace, but that doesn’t heal the hole he leaves in my heart or the pain our family feels.

As we grieve this sudden and painful loss, we are also facing unexpected funeral and memorial expenses. Any donation — no matter the amount — will help us honor my father with the love, dignity, and respect he deserves.
