Dr. Lataa Tesfaayee had recently completed his Doctoral Degree (PhD) through an online program and received an invitation from his university to attend his graduation ceremony. He traveled to Washington, DC to celebrate this milestone. Upon arrival, he stayed with his travel group at the Hilton Hotel in Virginia. Tragically, just one day before his graduation, Dr. Lataa passed away in his hotel room under circumstances that remain unclear, at the young age of 39.
Dr. Lataa was known for his kindness, generosity, and deep love for his country and his people. His commitment went beyond words. He dedicated his strength, knowledge, and resources to serving his community. He was a source of guidance, encouragement, and support to many, standing as a light even during times of great hardship.
The loss of such a brilliant and compassionate individual at such a young age is devastating. He leaves behind children who have lost their father far too soon. This fund is established to help support his children and family as they navigate this sudden and painful loss.
