In Loving Memory of Dorr: Supporting the Anderson Family
Donation protected
On June 21st, Brittany and her husband faced the unimaginable: they woke to find their sweet, innocent 5-year-old son, Dorr, unconscious. Despite their desperate efforts and the swift arrival of first responders, Dorr tragically passed away. He died on the morning of his baby brother’s very first birthday.
Dorr was a bright, beautiful boy who loved his little brothers and family, books, music and finding pure happiness in life’s simple pleasures.
As many of you know, Dorr bravely battled Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) — a rare genetic disorder that can cause seizures, tumors, and a host of other complications. In his short life, Dorr was a warrior, enduring three brain surgeries and countless hospital stays, including a recent ICU admission and multi-day EEG due to worsening seizures, and a hope for answers. In the days leading up to his passing, Brittany advocated tirelessly for her son, while also raising concerns about possible medication toxicity — concerns that were tragically dismissed.
Brittany is an active and beloved member of our online TSC mom community — always seeking guidance, sharing her journey, and fighting fiercely for her beautiful little boy. Now, as she and her husband face this devastating loss, we are rallying together to lift her and her family up.
This fundraiser will help the family with:
• Funeral and memorial expenses
• Time away from work to grieve and heal
• Childcare and support for their two surviving young children (ages 3 and 1)
• Any additional needs that arise in the wake of this tragedy, such as counseling
No parent should ever have to bury their child — let alone under circumstances where their voice and advocacy were not heard. If you feel called to give, no donation is too small. And if you cannot give, please consider sharing this campaign and keeping this grieving family in your thoughts.
Let us honor Dorr’s precious memory by wrapping this family in the love, support, and strength they need to carry on.
With deepest gratitude,
