Gentlemen. We all take pride in where we come from and how we've gotten to where we are at. Our parents have a lot to do with that. Raising us to the men that we are today. One of our brothers, Sanders, lost a part of that this past weekend. His mother lost a temporary battle here on earth, but is ultimately in heaven fighting the good fight.
He is going through something right now that many of us could not fathom of becoming our reality. But we hold the power to something that most do not. And that is strength in numbers when one of Ours needs our help. We have always preached that Epsilon Mu was an actual brotherhood, not one of those stereotypical fraternities. Now lets put our money where our mouth is and round up and be at our brothers back in his time of need.
Sanders is an only child, with most of his blood family living in Georgia, but that's not his only family. He has a family in anyone who had the honor to carry Pi Kappa Alpha across their chest.
The medical costs accumulated for him and his family across these past several months are undoubtedly a burden that no family should have to deal with when going through something as tragic as this.
But we can do something about it. Lets make a change. Lets show our true colors. And lets get back to our roots. Because at the end of the day, we are a brotherhood. Lets live up to those words.
