On October 8th, we tragically lost Dominique "DJ" Byrdsong. Our hearts are shattered.

We have questions, too. Unfortunately we do not know much at this time about what happened. What led to us to all be grieving someone who was so full of life. What we do know is that the person we saw in those last moments was not the real DJ. We also know that there were many missed opportunities where help could have been given, and it breaks us to know that this tragedy might have been prevented.

DJ was kind, funny, and loved by so many. The way he left this world does not define him.

I'm creating this gofundme for his mom, Jessica, who will receive all the funds raised. We want to help his family with the funeral costs and to honor his memory in the way he deserves.
