In loving memory of (Did)David Hopkins

Tax deductible
David (Did) Hopkins was diagnosed in Sept 2020 with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) grade 4 which is fast growing and the most aggressive form of Brain cancer which invades the nearby brain tissue. this left Did and his family absolutely devastated, they were told he would be lucky to get 12 months (statistics) and would have died within 6 months without surgery. Did fought a very brave journey, winning as he called it with determination and quality of life to make as many memories as possible with his wife Nicki, 3 children, other family and friends. On the 23rd October 2021, the family made it to London for a Chelsea game, one of Dids dreams to have them all together for this event. Sadly passing away at home on the 6th Nov 2021 after 15 months, with a very quick decline within 3 weeks.

Did wanted the family to continue campaigning and raising money and awareness to try to help find a cure for others. Did was always devastated at so many children affected by this and wanted to fundraise himself but couldn't due to needing funds for his treatment. So now we Teamhopkins (winning it for did) will continue in his memory.

On the 5th March 6 of us will do a Tandem skydive at Hibaldstow the largest UK skydiving centre offering skydives from 15,000ft – one of the highest in the UK and Europe. They are not associated with any other UK drop zone and have the largest fleet of fast climbing aircraft.

Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. One day, someday we have to try and change that and this is what Teamhopkins wants to try help support

Do you want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money in aid of Brain Tumour Research and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to Nicki and her family.

Brain Tumour Research is dedicated to raising funds for continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours, and we are a leading voice calling for greater support and action for research into what scientists are calling the last battleground against cancer.
