In Loving Memory of Devin Sonnenberg
Donation protected
With the heaviest of heart, on August 3rd, our dearly beloved Devin, Dad, Uncle Devin, son, brother, friend became our guardian angel. Devin leaves behind so many family and friends that loved him dearly, but he leaves behind his only son, Braelin, who he was so incredibly proud of. Braelin was just days from coming home from a year long deployment overseas when I called him late Wednesday evening to tell him that his dad was in the hospital. By early the next morning his dad had passed. Nothing can ever prepare you for the loss of a parent, but Braelin was surrounded by people that have become his own family when he got this earth shattering news, and I am forever thankful to them, as I know he is, too. Braelin is home now, taking every step to navigate this tough time. Rick, Devin’s dad, and Star, Devin’s adopted mom, we are forever grateful for you both. We’re thankful you were there to watch Devin these last couple of months become happier than ever, enjoy life, and grow into a better person. He always had the loudest most contagious laugh in the room. And the funniest stories to tell. He always made sure you knew how much he loved you. Although we’re all feeling the weight of this, I know that he would want us to remember the good times and carry his memory with us as we go through this life. So many loving people have reached out and asked how they can help braelin in the coming days, and prayers for comfort are always going to be appreciated. Today, tomorrow, 5 years from now and forever. Devin didn’t have the chance to see him get married in two short months or to ever become the amazing grandpa we know he would have been. This hurt will carry with us through life. Anything you can give will be appreciated and will go towards all of the unexpected costs of this unfortunate loss.
Love Braelin & Billie ❤️
