After suffering a stroke, Desi Sedore was rushed to the hospital. He later returned home, hopeful and determined to recover and continue being the husband and father his family depended on. But instead of healing, Desi began experiencing severe, relentless nerve pain caused by the stroke. His condition rapidly worsened, and soon after came the unimaginable diagnosis of leukemia.

Desi fought with everything he had. He endured overwhelming pain, countless medical challenges, and unimaginable fear—yet he held on for his wife and children. He wanted to live. He wanted to protect them. Despite his strength and determination, his body could not continue. Desi passed away far too young on January 17, 2026, leaving behind a shattered family and a silence where his presence once filled every room.

Hi, our family is raising funds in loving memory of Desi Sedore, born on July 4, 1980.

Desi was the devoted husband of Amanda Sedore, and together they shared a love story that began when they were just 16 years old. They grew up side by side, building a life rooted in loyalty, resilience, and deep, unconditional love. Together they raised five children, who were the center of Desi’s world: Gavin, Bree, Cade, Lily, and Ivy. Desi is now reunited with his son Gavin, who passed away before him—a loss this family had already endured before facing another unimaginable tragedy.

Desi was born to Christine Bovingdon and the late Ernest Sedore, who passed away when Desi was just 17 years old. That early loss shaped him deeply and strengthened the compassion and devotion he carried throughout his life.

A natural athlete, Desi excelled in sports and carried that passion into adulthood. He loved golfing, frisbee golf, fishing, and camping, finding peace in the outdoors and joy in life’s simplest moments. Above all else, Desi loved his wife and children fiercely and selflessly.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend—a man whose love and presence left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Amanda and the children are now facing the unimaginable. They are grieving the sudden loss of a husband and father while trying to survive a future they never expected. Amanda is navigating profound grief while becoming a single mother, responsible for providing for her children during the most painful chapter of their lives.

Funds raised will go directly toward supporting Amanda and the children, easing the financial burden so Amanda can focus on healing, caring for her children, and rebuilding life after such devastating loss.
